Dr Stephen Salt

Stephen graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (‘Wits’) in 1991. After working as a dentist in the South African Defence Forces for a year and for the NHS in the UK from 1992-1993, he returned to Wits for a further 3 years to specialise as a Prosthodontist.

As a registered specialist in Prosthodontics, Stephen has established an excellent reputation for handling complex dentistry involving crown and bridgework, dentures and dental implants. He is able to treat cases of missing teeth, extensive tooth wear, bite problems and cosmetic dentistry.

Stephen was a specialist clinical teacher at Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Dentistry for 8 years. He was also the restorative lead at the Tatum Institute from 2006-2009 and mentored dentists on how to plan and provide implant dentistry for their own patients.

He was the Trust Prosthodontist in the Maxillofacial department at Northwick Park Hospital from 2008 to 2020. He also worked for Centre for Dentistry as the peripatetic visiting specialist and helped establish their specialist services throughout the estate.
